Jasen AhYou, Director of Athletic Relations at BYU, attended the UCFC meeting last night and presented the group with the details of the upcoming Coaches Clinic on Saturday March 25th. They are as follows:
Cost is $40 per person. This includes breakfast and lunch and a folder with handouts and notes to keep.
To reserve a spot to attend ahead of time. The reservation/registration can be completed online or by sending email@example.com an email with the registration details of who is attending.
Tentative schedule is as follows:
8:30-9:00am Coach Sitake Session
9:00-10:00am Breakout Sessions - Offense - Coach Detmer, et. al.
10:00-11:00am Breakout Sessions - Defense - Coach Tuiaki, et. al.
11:00-11:30, 11:30-12:00pm Stadium Field Offense and Defense Drills To Run in Practice Workshop, BYU players will be on hand to demonstrate drills
All breakout sessions will be position specific with the corresponding coach. You will be sitting in a room and free to ask Coach Detmer who will be playing QB next year, but should probably focus on youth football instead. Please be prepared to ask questions as it relates to your coaching assignment and how to improve our young players that you are responsible to coach.

The annual Westlake High School football parent's meeting is going to be held on February 16th in the Lecture Hall (down C Hall). To accommodate the numbers the High School will be holding a meeting at 6:30 and one at 7:30 p.m. Current 8th graders will be slotted at the 6:30 p.m. meeting. This will allow seating for everybody. The following items will be discussed: Spirit Gear order info and deadline, fees, Summer schedule, camp dates, fundraising, volunteer opportunities, etc. Please let other parents, who may have students interested in playing, know of the date and times of the meeting. It is for all current 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th graders.

Our Fall Football Kickoff Event - Thunder Jam!!! Our first-of-the-season event was outstanding! We had various teams to scrimmage, lots of food trucks, vendor booths, team fundraisers, and the Fire Department showed up to cool us down. Thanks to all the parents and coaches that volunteered to help; we couldn't have done it without you!!
